sometime in the vicinity of ten years ago this was recorded on tape in a warehouse in Kensington in Philly. James immediately broke the E string on the bass and used one of Dr. Dog's basses to record this collection of songs.
more time was spent playing Tony Hawk and Sonic Collection and eating mac n' cheese than possibly recording but all the instrumental performances are (noticeably) live one-takes. so I mean that's cool, right?
the first attempt at cyclone babies James accidentally sang about 3 octaves too high in a Prince-like vocal for about a minute or so and everyone laughed very hard at this.
